Do you remember when you were a kid and you used to play with Lego? I’d always build a spectacular, multi-tiered house with flowers and trees and even a windmill attached! It was probably a lot more complex than my actual house was truth be told. I constantly made different types of houses with additional features but the one thing that every Lego house I made always had, were railings, fences or gates. I had to protect my Lego house from Lego burglars! As silly it sounds, it’s an idea I’ve taken with me through to adulthood and I feel like no house is complete without them.
It might be this early childhood experience that peaked my interest in metal craftwork and paved the way for Cheshire Metalcraft to be born, who knows? But what is for sure is my belief that a home isn’t complete without railings, fences or gates to just tie everything together.
Not only do they make the house appear complete, but they add another level of security to a home. Sure, your railings, fences or gates may not be able to completely keep unwanted trespassers off your property, but just by having them and people being able to see them, it acts a deterrent. And of course, a home looks well presented with the addition of Railings, fences or gates. It makes everything unformed; a little like Lego!
